Mobile Transfer Tickets Explained

Mobile transfer sends control of a ticket through the original provider. The seller needs accurate recipient details, a clear delivery record, and a plan for delays or restrictions.

How Mobile Transfer Works

Ticketmaster says an accepted transfer creates a new barcode for the recipient and invalidates the sender's ticket. AXS Mobile ID transfer sends the ticket to the recipient's AXS account or asks them to create one and use the AXS app.

Transfer, do not share account access

Use the provider's official transfer function. Do not give buyers your account password, and do not rely on screenshots when the barcode refreshes.

A Clean Seller Workflow

  1. Confirm the exact seats, provider, and transfer eligibility.
  2. Use the buyer name, email, or phone supplied through the marketplace.
  3. Complete provider verification and submit the transfer.
  4. Save the transfer confirmation and marketplace delivery record.
  5. Monitor whether the recipient accepts before the deadline.
  6. Never cancel or recall a completed sale unless instructed by the marketplace.

Mobile Transfer FAQ

Can a screenshot be used for a mobile ticket?

Not reliably. AXS states that its Mobile ID QR code refreshes and screenshots are unavailable. Ticketmaster mobile-entry tickets should be accessed through its app or supported wallet workflow.

What happens after a Ticketmaster transfer is accepted?

Ticketmaster says the recipient receives a new barcode and the sender's ticket is no longer valid for entry.

Does the recipient need an AXS account?

AXS says recipients with an account receive the tickets there; otherwise they need to create an account and use the AXS app to access AXS Mobile ID.
